Project Overview
Dandelion Medical Devices engaged Cloud2GND to design and develop a next-generation wireless device while meeting stringent IEC 60601 design guidelines. The client’s objective was to implement a low-power Bluetooth LE solution and sensor array on a compact, energy-optimized form factor with a battery life target of more than two weeks, while ensuring data security and patient privacy.
Cloud2GND performed a detailed analysis of multiple sensor options to optimize the design for size, weight, and power efficiency. Our team implemented a complete firmware solution based on the Nordic nRF52 and Nordic Connect SDK, adhering to rigorous medical device design and process requirements. Cloud2GND also supported system performance testing and guided the device through FDA certification readiness.
The result was release-ready hardware and firmware delivered to the client, along with ongoing validation and certification support to ensure long-term product success.
“Cloud2GND dramatically advanced our Bluetooth-based medical devices, from hardware design through iterative software development. Their ability to navigate product strategy, technical detail, and FDA requirements makes them a true development partner—not just a service provider.” – Dr. Andrew Holtman, CEO of Dandelion Medical Devices.
