Cloud2GND is a global engineering services firm specializing in standards-based wireless connectivity. Cloud2GND is seeking a Test Engineer with expertise in Python and a strong background in developing automated test frameworks for embedded systems.
The candidate should have extensive experience with test automation strategies and implementing test systems for both firmware and hardware. Familiarity with test methodologies, scripting, and continuous integration tools is essential. A strong understanding of embedded software systems and how to efficiently test and validate those systems is critical for success in this role.
Current or previous experience with wireless communication technologies such as Bluetooth is a significant plus. The candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on delivering reliable and scalable test solutions.
Candidates may work in our offices in the United States or Romania, and experienced candidates have the option to work remotely. A willingness to travel is preferred but not required.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience using and/or developing test automation frameworks in Python.
- Experience testing firmware and/or embedded systems.
- Deep understanding of testing methodologies and concepts such as unit testing, regression testing, and integration testing.
- Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or others.
- Ability to design and implement test scripts for complex systems.
- Familiarity with hardware communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, and GPIOs.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Advanced written and verbal English skills at a technical level.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with wireless technologies (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, etc.).
- Familiarity with embedded operating systems, including RTOS.
- Knowledge of hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and simulation tools.
- Familiarity with Agile development and Scrum methodologies.
- Experience creating technical documentation for test processes and results.
- Ability to interface well with internal and external customers.
Education Requirements
Degree in Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
