Cloud2GND is a global engineering services firm specializing in standards-based wireless connectivity. Cloud2GND is seeking a Wireless Protocol Engineer with experience in communication protocols and test engineering, in particular related to the qualification and testing of Bluetooth devices.
The role will include developing and maintaining Bluetooth test specifications, Bluetooth qualification tests, as well as authoring technical documentation and/or specifications.
Candidates may work in our offices in the United States or Romania, and experienced candidates have the option to work remotely.
Ideal candidates will have experience with Bluetooth technology and a general understanding of wireless communications and systems, RF, networking protocols, software engineering. Junior candidates with less experience are also welcome to apply.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in wireless protocols development and/or testing, or similar experience with any standards-based wireless or networking technologies, such as Bluetooth (ideal) or Zigbee, 802.15.4, Thread, Z-Wave, WiFi, Cellular/4G, etc.
- Experience with Bluetooth products and understanding of Bluetooth specifications.
- Experience and understanding of the Bluetooth SIG Qualification Program and/or executing the Bluetooth Profile Tuning Suite (PTS).
- Strong communication skills and experience with technical writing such as authoring technical and/or test documentation.
- Proficiency with common office and productivity applications and software such as Microsoft Office and Visio.
- Ability to interface well with internal and external customers.
- Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively with strong attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
Education Requirements
Degree in Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
